Jasper is a city in Dubois County in the U.S. state of Indiana. In 2000, Jasper, the county seat of Dubois County is at the same time, 12,100 inhabitants.

History

The first settlers in the area of ​​the later Jasper came primarily from Kentucky and Tennessee. The settlement was formed on the Patoka River, which served as a transport and a flour mill drive.
