Jastrzębski Węgiel

Jastrzębski Węgiel is a Polish volleyball club from Jastrzębie -Zdrój, playing in Polish Volleyball League and the Champions League.

Team

The squad for the 2013/14 season consists of 14 players. Trainer is Lorenzo Bernardi, the assistant coach called Leszek Dejewski.

National League

Jastrzębski Węgiel playing in Polish Volleyball League and in 2004 Polish Champion. 2006, 2007 and 2010 we were runner-up, 2001, 2003, 2009 and 2013 occupied one third.

European Cup

Jastrzębski Węgiel plays since 2004 on an international level. 2004/ 05 is about standing in the Volleyball Champions League, the group stage, but then resigned in the first play-off round. In CEV Cup they reached the quarter-final and the 2006/07 quarter-finals 2005/ 06. 2008/ 09 would retire in the CEV Cup in the first round, then reached but in the Challenge Cup final. 2010/11 were the Poles again in Volleyball Champions League. Here they met in the preliminary round OK Budvańską Rivijera Budva, Olympiakos Piraeus and ACH Volley Bled. In the play-off 12 they defeated Generali Haching and play-off 6 Noliko Maaseik. In the semifinals they lost Trentino Volley and third place they lost to Dynamo Moscow. 2012/13 the Poles against the French from Rennes Volley won in CEV Cup 35 and then lost to the Turks of Maliye Milli Piyango Ankara. 2013/14 occurred, the Poles again in Volleyball Champions League, where they first played against Halkbank Ankara, Tomis Constanta and Hypo Tirol Innsbruck.

Club World Cup

2011 won Jastrzębski Węgiel at the Club World Championship in Doha ( Qatar), the preliminary games against Zenit Kazan, Trinity Western Spartans from Canada and Paykan Tehran VC from Iran. In the semifinals they defeated SESI Sao Paulo, before they lost in the final against Trentino Volley and took second place.
