Jaume Nomen

Jaime ( Jaume ) noun Torres ( born June 23, 1960 in Tortosa in the province of Tarragona) is a Catalan oral surgeon, amateur astronomer and discoverer of asteroids.

He is an active member of the GEA ( Groupe d' Etudes Astronomiques ) and Director of the Unicorn Projects 3SSS which draws up three automatic telescopes with a diameter of 61 cm at the observatory Piera, at the observatory of L' Ametlla de Mar and the Costitx Observatory to the to improve capacity for the discovery and observation of asteroids.

He discovered in the period 1999-2002 a total of 53 asteroids.

The asteroid ( 56561 ) Jaimenomen was named after him.
