Javier Ambrois (1958 )

Javier " Nene " Ambrois ( born May 9, 1932 in Cerrito de la Victoria, Montevideo, † 25 June 1975) was a Uruguayan football player.

Club career

Ambrois, born in Barrio montevideanischen Cerrito de la Victoria, debuted in the Uruguayan Primera División on November 19, 1950 in rows Nacional Montevideo in the game against Bella Vista, where he was a member since he was 16. He played during his career from 1950 to 1953, first for this club. In this time of Patesko also called Ambrois shot 17 goals in 49 games and won in 1950 and 1952 his first two Uruguayan championships. In 1954 he was active for Fluminense Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, when he was released there in exchange for the goalkeeper Velhudo. From there he moved back to Nacional in 1955 and completed until 1957 45 games in which he scored 36 hits. He was in 1955 with 17 goals scored top scorer in the Uruguayan league and won the Uruguayan championship again with disastrous appearance. In the two following years the team this success was repeated in each case. Now, his path led him in 1958 to Argentina. There he first played until 1959 for Boca Juniors, where he reach him at 43 inserts 12 goals. Then he ran in 1960 in four matches ( no goals ) for the CA Lanús on. From 1961 to 1964 worked again in Nacional's series (42 games, 7 goals), while in 1963 winning the championship again, in 1966 recorded as the last station of the career Defensor Sporting Club.

National

The midfielder was a member of the Uruguayan national football team, with whom he participated in the FIFA World Cup in 1954, and at the Copa América 1956. At the World Cup Uruguay finished in third place, the latter tournament to win his team did. It was followed a year later appointed to the squad for the Copa América 1957., Where Uruguay reached the third place. Ambrois scoring in the match against Ecuador on March 7, 1957 in Lima set a record when he scored four goals in a match ( he also failed in a penalty). This record was, after he himself with four other hits on March 23, 1957 hired him already in the same tournament in the match against Peru, until November 11, 2011 by Luis Suarez equalized, as in this World Cup qualifier against Chile the same number succeeded in gates. At the Copa America in 1957, he shared with the Argentine Humberto Maschio also the title of the scorer. Both had to post nine hits on the credit side.
