Francisco Javier Casquero Paredes, short Javier Casquero ( born March 11, 1976 in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo ) is a Spanish footballer who is since 2013 at Sporting Gijon under contract.

Playing career

Segunda División

Javier Casquero began his playing career at CD Toledo in the Spanish Segunda División, where he played between 1994 and 1999 a total of five years, interrupted by a loan to unterklassigen Team Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in the 1996/97 season, having previously not so often was used. For the season 1999/2000 he moved to Atlético Madrid B, which was second-rate at this time. After only one year, he accepted the offer of the traditional club Sevilla FC, in the Segunda División relegation in the previous season.

La Liga and International

In the first season he was with his new team secure the return to the first division - for him it was the first time. In the 2004/2005 season he was not represented internationally by his team and Casquero first played in the UEFA Cup. Nevertheless, those season was anything but good for him because he lost his place in the Andalusians.

So it came as it had come, and in the summer of 2005, signed a contract with Casquero League rivals Racing Santander. Again, only a year later he moved to the Spanish capital for the surprise team of Getafe with which he first reached the final of the Copa del Rey in 2007 before it was 2007/2008 represented internationally with the Madrid suburb Club.

After six years and more than 200 appearances for Getafe Casqueros contract was not renewed. He left the club and signed with the UD Almería one-year contract.

Others

On April 21, 2009 Pepe rested during league match Real Madrid against Getafe after a foul on his opponent Casquero the box completely out. In his opinion, the Getafe player had deliberately dropped. After the penalty, the referee's whistle, he joined the fallen player twice, pushed him to the ground and beat Juan Albín face. The penalty came Casquero equal to itself, but failed to Iker Casillas. Pepe was sent off with a red card and swore at the referee while leaving the pitch. After the game, he was banned for 10 league games.
