Jean Benguigui

Jean Benguigui ( born April 8, 1944 in Oran, Algeria; actually Serge Benguigui ) is a French stage and film actor of Algerian origin.

Life

Jean Benguigui began his career as a stage actor. Directed by Patrice Chéreau, he came several times on the stage used. 1967 was the first time Benguigui front of the camera. Since then, he has appeared in more than 80 films. In most cases, set on the Mediterranean type, it often occurs in comic supporting roles, such as in The fugitives (Les fugitifs, 1986) in addition to Pierre Richard and Gérard Depardieu. With Isabelle Huppert he was already several times together in front of the camera as Claude Chabrol's 1997 caper comedy Life is a game ( Rien ne va plus). In the comic book adaptations Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra ( Astérix & Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre, 2002) and The Daltons to Lucky Luke (Les Dalton, 2004) Benguigui again played small supporting roles.

In France, he is also active as a voice actor. He lent his voice among other things, Joe Pesci.
