Jean Esprit Isnard

Jean Esprit Isnard ( born January 22, 1707 Bédarrides, Vaucluse, † March 16, 1781 ) was a French Dominican monk and organ builder of the 18th century.

Isnard worked mainly in the Abbey of Sainte -Madeleine in Saint -Maximin- la -Sainte -Baume in the Var department where he created in 1773 the large organ that is now one of the most important instruments of the Baroque. About his life, there are only sparse news.
