Jean-Marc Rochette

Jean -Marc Rochette ( born April 23, 1956 in Baden -Baden ) is a French painter, illustrator and comic artist. For his various works he used found a wide range of character styles.

After completing his studies ( art history and sculpture) Rochette began to draw comics and cartoons. From 1979, he recorded regularly for the magazine L'Echo des Savannes. 1980 was published with Les Dépoteurs de chrysanthèmes his first album. His next big project was created with the Veyron series Martin Edmond le cochon ( in German as Edmund the swine, published in 1985 by the Hamburg Carlsen -Verlag). Then Rochette worked on behalf of Alexis together with Jacques praise to the narrative Le Transperceneige, which appeared in 1983 and both artists at the Festival d' Angoulême in 1985 the "Prix Resistance - Témoignage Chrétien " earned.
