Jean-Marc Roubaud

Jean -Marc Roubaud ( born June 18, 1951 in Algiers ) is a French politician. He was from 2002 to 2012 Member of the National Assembly.

Roubaud worked as a pharmacist when he entered the council of Villeneuve- lès -Avignon in 1989. In 1995 he was elected mayor of the municipality. 2002, he joined the department of Gard of the parliamentary elections and pulled for the conservative UMP in the National Assembly. In 2007 he was re-elected. In the 2012 elections, he ran again. However, he failed in the second ballot with 38.0 % of the Socialists Patrice Prat, who received 41.4 % of votes. Together with the extreme right Gilles Caïtucoli (20.5%) there would have been a right-wing majority, but which did not materialize due to lack of an agreement of the right-wing camp.
