Jean-Pierre Gibrat

Jean -Pierre Gibrat ( born April 14, 1954 in Paris ) is a French comic artist and author.

Gibrat studied art and philosophy before in the second half of the 1970s turned to the drawing of comics. He published his first drawings in various magazines, including Pilote.

Volume 1 of Gibrats zweibändigem comic novel The deferral ( fr. Le sursis ) was nominated at the Festival International de la Bande Dessinée d' Angoulême in 1998 as best album. In addition, the novel in 2000, was named best German -language comic publications (import ) for the Max and Moritz Prize nominated. The postponement was Gibrats first comic, which he also wrote the scenario.
