Jean Scheyfve

Jean Scheyfve (* 1515, † July 13, 1581 in Antwerp) was from 1550 to 1553 ambassador of Charles V at Edward VI. in England.

Life

His parents were Jeanne van Berchem and Jean Scherfve. He married Genevieve de Hooge country. Their children were Marguerite, Marie, Maximilien and Edward Scheyfve. He received a mortarboard of law at the University of Leuven in 1530. 1545 was Jean Scheyfve mayor of Antwerp. He was lord of Sint -Agatha -Rode, Neten and Otten castle.
