JED (text editor)

JED ( by John E. Davis ' Emacs -like editor ) is a free text editor under the GNU General Public License, which is mainly due to Unix-/Linux-Systemen used, but also exists for other platforms such as BeOS, QNX or Windows. JED is primarily aimed at programmers who are working on the console, and provides syntax highlighting for various programming languages ​​such as C, Java or PHP.

The text editor can both emulate the Emacs editor as a larger, and the macro programming language S-Lang.
