Jeff Kinney (writer)
Jeffrey Patrick " Jeff" Kinney ( born February 19, 1971 in Fort Washington, Maryland, USA) is an American game designer and author of children's books.
Life
Kinney was born on 19 February 1971, attended Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville (Maryland) and he grew up not far from the Crossland High School in Fort Washington ( Maryland) on. He attended the University of Maryland, College Park in the early 90s. At college, he created the comic Igdoof, which was in the campus newspaper, The Diamondback, reprinted. In 1998, he began ideas for a comic book series to develop Greg's diary, which now comprises eight volumes.
2009 Kinney was " 100 most influential people in the world " out in Time Magazine in the list of. Him the Kalbach rattlesnake and the book favorite for Greg's diary was awarded also in 2009.
He lives in Plainville in the State of Massachusetts with his wife Julie and two sons, Will and Grant.

On 20 July 2009 20th Century Fox announced a movie adaptation of Kinney's book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The original scheduled start date of April 2, 2010 has been postponed. The film was released in the U.S. cinemas on 19 March 2010. Since June 16, 2011 Part 2 runs in the German Cinema: Gregs Tagebuch 2 - Is there trouble? ( Original title: Diary of a wimpy kid 2 - Rodrick Rules), in which he also made a guest appearance as Holly Hills father.
