The Jelení hora ( German Haßberg while Jelení hora " Hirschberg " means ) is a 994 m high mountain in the Czech part of the Erzgebirge.

Location

The mountain is located in the Okres Chomutov between Annaberg -Buchholz and Chomutov southeast of the community Kryštofovy Hamry (Christoph Hammer). He rises above the broad valley of Preßnitz with the dam Preßnitz that today at the site of the former mining town Přísečnice ( Preßnitz ) southwest of the mountain is located. Striking feature is the steep, narrow and only partially forested crest of the mountain, which rises over the vast plateaus of Erzgebirgskammes, allowing a good view to the Upper Erzgebirge and restricted to the Egertal.

Geology
