Jenni Rivera

Jenni Rivera ( born July 2, 1969 as Dolores Janney Rivera Saavedra in Long Beach, California, United States, † December 9, 2012 in Iturbide, Nuevo León, Mexico) was a Mexican- American singer index Banda and Norteña.

Life

Jenni Rivera was born to Mexican immigrants in California, where she grew up also.

From the 1990s she became known as a singer and songwriter in Mexico. Around 1994, she received her first recording contract with Capitol / EMI Latin. Their debut album was released Chacalosa 1995. After two albums for Sony Latin, she moved in 1999 to the label Fonovisa. The first album on the new label appeared Que Me Entierrren con la Banda.

Rivera died on 9 December 2012 in a plane crash in Mexico. She leaves behind five children and two grandchildren.
