Jennifer Harß

Jennifer "Jenny" Harss (* July 14, 1987 in Füssen ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who plays for the ERC Sonthofen in the men's league Bavaria since 2013.

Career

Harss started with ice hockey in early childhood along with her brother and father, who was ice hockey coach at the same time. You went through all youth and junior teams of EV Füssen. She played in her childhood also football and tennis, but ultimately opted for the sport of ice hockey and quickly developed into an outstanding goalkeeper.

Between 2001 and 2004 she was active for the ERC Sonthofen and the SC Riessersee in the women's Bundesliga. Between 2004 and 2008, they went for the ECDC Memmingen in the Bundesliga on the ice and was a member of the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr. In the 2008 /09 season, she became a regular goalkeeper at EV Pfronten for which they played in the Men's Bavarian League party and there to the best goalkeepers in the league.

After her involvement in the EV Pfronten Harss joined the 2009/10 season in the NCAA to the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. She got a full scholarship from the University and occupied the field of study International Management. For the Bulldogs, it was back-up goalkeeper the Swedish national goalkeeper Kim Martin Hasson 2010 and won the final tournament of the NCAA Frozen Four, the. After the season, she was one of the best goalkeepers of the WCHA.

Upon completion of her studies in 2012 she left Minnesota and returned to Germany. She played one season for the ECDC Memmingen in the German Bundesliga before Harss way for the ERC Sonthofen plays with the start of the 2013/2014 season in the men's ice hockey league Bavaria.

Internationally

Harss bears in the German national team jersey number 30 Harss played at the Olympic Winter Games in Turin in 2006 for Germany.
