In 1991, the then ten- year-old Jennifer Meier began VfR Buerstadt playing football. Five years later they moved to FSV Frankfurt, where they celebrated their first successes. In 1999, she won her first championship, a year later, the U-18 European Championship. In summer 1999, she moved to local rivals 1 FFC Frankfurt, where she managed three times in a row the league and cup double. On September 8, 2001, she debuted in the national team in the game against Japan.
