Jens Kiefer

Jens Kiefer ( born November 9, 1974 in St. Ingbert ) is a German football coach, who is currently under contract with Eintracht Trier.

Career

Player

Kiefer ran on during his playing days for the Saarland clubs SV Elversberg and Borussia Neunkirchen. Also, he was a player at the Palatine FK Pirmasens.

Coach

After the end of his playing career was first Kiefer at Borussia Neunkirchen and coached the second team and the U-17 team. After he had coached the junior also at the 1 FC Saarbrücken, Pine 2008 at FC Homburg has been set. After a successful season 2008/ 09 ( 2nd place) pine managed for the following season with his team's promotion to the Regionalliga West. Then he left Homburg and was set at the SV Elversberg. First, he coached the second team. In October 2011, jaw finally became coach of the first team he led to the rise in the third league in the 2012/13 season. On August 22 2013 Jens Kiefer gave his resignation August 24, known in the game against FC Halle. He justified this step with its double burden of having to parallel acquire the DFB prescribed for the 3rd league coaching license. As his successor, the club engaged the former professional Dietmar Hirsch.

On March 18, 2014 Kiefer took over the position of head coach at Eintracht Trier in the Regionalliga West.

Jens Kiefer is married and has two children.
