Jeremy Guscott

Jeremy Clayton Guscott (* July 7, 1965 in Bath ) is a former English rugby union player. He played for Bath Rugby, the English national team and the British and Irish Lions.

Career

Guscott made ​​his international debut in 1989 against Romania, where he could put three attempts. In the same year he was also recognized for his first Lions tour. He came in the final two games against Australia for use, the Lions won the series finally 2-1. In 1991 he reached the final of the England World Cup, where they lost to the Australians.

In his second Lions tour to New Zealand in 1993 played Guscott in all Test against the All Blacks. In 1995, again in England's squad for the World Cup. The following year, he lost his place, but soon returned to his form back and was nominated for the third time for the Lions. In the second Test against South Africa, he scored the decisive drop -goal to win the selection that ultimately could decide the series for themselves. At the World Cup 1999, he played for the last time for England in the match against Tonga and also presented his last attempt. In 2000 he finished his club career at Bath.
