Jerney Kaagman

Jerney Kaagman ( born July 9, 1947 in The Hague), actually Christina Henriette Kaagman, is a Dutch pop singer.

Life

Kaagman attended high school in Leidschendam- Voorburg, where she was a member of the school choir. In 1969, she was the singer in the previously founded in band Earth & Fire. In the spring of 1980 the band had their greatest success with the title Weekend.

After the initial breakup of the band in 1983, she released two solo albums. Furthermore, she appeared in 1983 in the first Dutch edition of Playboy.

Kaagman since 1987 in the Dutch musicians' union BV Pop active. She was also a 2003-2008 member of the jury of the Dutch talent show Idols.

Private

In a joint tour with another well-known Dutch band of the 1970s, Focus, Kaagman met the bassist Bert Ruiter, whom she brought to Earth & Fire, and with whom she has lived since 1974. They are not married.
