Jersey (clothing)

Jersey is the name for a piece of clothing. This is supported, among others, as a shirt, sweater or polo shirt with long sleeves. In contrast to a jersey sweater has, however, no opening on the front. Jerseys are worn in various sports to indicate, among other things belonging to a team.

The name probably comes from the largest and best known of the Channel Island of Jersey.
