Jerusalem Foundation

The Jerusalem Foundation (Hebrew: הקרן לירושלים ) is a worldwide, independent, non-partisan and non-profit organization based in Jerusalem, Israel. The Foundation was founded in 1966 by former mayor of Jerusalem and honorary citizen of Vienna Teddy Kollek acts as a mediator between Jews, Christians and Muslims in the important for all three monotheistic religions of the world city.

The Foundation works by its own account for change and growth, for promoting real and sustainable progress in the social, educational and cultural fields as well as for overcoming barriers between different population groups, so that all citizens of Jerusalem can participate in community life active. Through active support of private and public donations in the world Israel and many other countries, the Jerusalem Foundation has been able to contribute more than a billion dollars for the development of Jerusalem and realize many hundreds of projects.
