Jerzy Prokopiuk

Jerzy Prokopiuk ( born June 5, 1931 in Warsaw) is a Polish philosopher, Gnostics, New Agers, anthroposophist and important literature and philosophy translator. He translated into Polish as a first or new, among other works of Goethe, Schiller, Rudolf Steiner and Carl Jung, as well as works of about 80 other authors. He was awarded the Translation Prize of the German Poland Institute of Karl Dedecius. He writes essays on anthroposophy and world literature. In Polish culture, he especially appreciates the romance ( such authors as Adam Mickiewicz and Juliusz Słowacki and even those who are not so well known ), is also critics of Polish Catholicism. He wants to anthroposophy in Poland developed. He now lives in Warsaw. He is very well known in Poland, especially among intellectuals in Germany under the Anthroposophists.
