Jerzy Wenderlich

Jerzy Wenderlich ( born April 22, 1954 in Toruń ) is a Polish politician. He is since 1993 a deputy in the Sejm ( II, III. , IV, V, VI. , And VII Term) and in July 2010 one of the Vizemarschälle (Vice President ) of the Sejm.

He finished his studies at the Pedagogical Faculty of Casimir the Great University in Bydgoszcz. At the University of Warsaw he completed a postgraduate course in Journalism and Political Science. In 1980, he joined the Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ) a. He worked as a journalist and was editor of the student newspaper " Meritum ". He also led the Bydgoszcz part of the " Courier Studencki " and was a journalist of "Gazeta Pomorska " and editor of " Tygodnik Telewizyjny ". In the years 1993, 1997, 2001 and 2005 he was a Member of the Sejm for the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD). He also served as press secretary of the party. Wenderlich wrote the book Jak zostać ministrem? ( How to become a minister? ).

In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was for the constituency with 11,825 votes Thorn for the sixth time deputy, this time on the list Lewica i Demokraci ( Left and Democrats - LiD ). He is Deputy Chairman of the Sejm Commission for Culture.

Since 22 April 2008 he is a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
