Jerzy Zelnik

Jerzy Zelnik ( born September 14, 1945 in Kraków ) is a Polish actor.

Jerzy Zelnik began in 1965 his acting training at the State Drama School PWST in Warsaw. As early as 1963 he had been in a small role in Leonard Buczkowskis film Smarkula his film debut. In 1966 he played the lead role in Jerzy Kawalerowiczs film Faraon. In 1968 he finished the drama school and got his first exposure to the theater Teatr Stary in Krakow. After that, he played in many theaters in Poland and was from 2005 to 2007 the artistic director of Teatr Nowy in Łódź. From 1979 to 1986 and again since 1992, he has been a member of the Common Theatre. Jerzy Zelnik got to know his wife Urszula 1968. They have two children. In 2007 he was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta.
