Both attended Edison High School in Seattle. At that time, Glover was a successful judoka. Bruce Lee taught Glover in Kung Fu, first privately, later in Bruce Lee's first school, the Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute in Seattle 's Chinatown. Later he opened his own school and called his self-defense method " Non-Classical Gung Fu ". Glover completed a psychology degree and lived until his death in Seattle. In his 1976 book written " Bruce Lee - Between Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do", he reports on measurements of Lee's impact speed and distance bridge ( " Closing the Gap " ) by an electric timer. Glover writes, Lee was one about a meter (3 feet ) distant target found in approximately 0.05 seconds and a anderthalben meters (5 feet) away goal to bridge the distance in about 0.08 seconds. Glovers own times of approximately one meter distance were 0.11 to 0.18 seconds.
