Jesse Marsch

Jesse Marsch ( born November 8, 1973 in Racine, Wisconsin ) is a former American football player and current coach.

In all, he spent 14 years as a player in Major League Soccer and was the MLS Cup four times and the U.S. Open Cup win this time with his teams three times.

Playing career

College

March played college soccer at Princeton University, where he came into the NCAA Division I first- team All-America selection in 1995. In MLS College Draft 1996, he was in the third round of DC United selected. The former assistant coach of United, Bob Bradley, it already coached at Princeton.

Professional

March played his first two professional years for DC United, but was only used 15 times. In 1998, Bob Bradley coach at Chicago Fire. He took a march in exchange for AJ Wood and a pick for the College Draft 1998 Chicago. March became a regular player in the team and remained there until 2005. Up to this time he was the most used player of the franchises.

After the 2005 season he moved to the CD Chivas USA, who were also coached by Bob Bradley. On 5 February 2010 he announced his resignation. March is one of three players who were active in the first 14 seasons of MLS.

National

Jesse Marsch was active twice for the national team of the United States. He made his debut on 11 November 2001 in the match against Trinidad and Tobago, which was held as part of the qualification for the World Cup 2002. He came on in the 82nd minute for Joe -Max Moore. His second game was held on 2 June 2007. He was again off the bench in the game.

Coaching career

After end of his career as an active player, he was an assistant coach with the national team of the United States. On August 11, 2011 he was confirmed as coach of the Montreal Impact, which in 2012 took up their game operation in the Major League Soccer.
