Jessica Hewitt

Jessica Hewitt ( born October 9, 1986 in Langley, British Columbia) is a Canadian Shorttrackerin.

Hewitt took in 2002 to the Canadian games with the relay and won the silver medal. In the next few years she competed at several other national competitions, however, came up to the 2005/06 season rarely in the top ten. Only at the Canadian championship in 2006 she convinced and missed as the fourth over 1000 meters just under an individual medal. A year later she won at this track even with an internal elimination race, the jump in the highest competition category, the short track speed skating World Cup, it remained for the time being denied yet. With consistent results in the winter of 2007/ 08 she placed on the eighth rank in the Canadian rankings, which she was nominated for the 2008 /09 season for the first time for the World Cup. There, she managed the very first race over 1000 meters, a tenth rank, with the season they even reached third place. While she was able to confirm the relay result even in the next two World Cups - one as a third party, the second time in fourth - she slipped in the individual race from the rear ranks, so that it was no longer used as of the fourth station. At the World Championships in Sheffield she won bronze in the relay. In of the next World Cup in Debrecen she won silver in the relay and at the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi also what you succeeded again at the next World Cup in Montreal.
