Jessie Cave

Jessie Cave ( born May 5, 1987 in London) is a British actress. She became known for her role as Lavender Brown in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Life and career

Jessie Cave is the second oldest of five siblings. Her father worked as a General Practitioner. She studied Illustration and Animation at Kingston University London and English literature at the University of Manchester. Her grandfather is the former Chief Secretary of Hong Kong, Sir Charles Philip Haddon - Cave.

In the film adaptation of Cornelia Funke 's novel Inkheart Cave played a mermaid. In June 2009 she appeared as Thomasina on in the revival of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia at the Duke of York 's Theatre in London's West End. Cave was selected from more than 7,000 girls competed for the role of Lavender Brown in the film version of the novel Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The film was released in Germany on July 16, 2009.
