Jesús Alberto Dátolo ( born May 19, 1984 in Carlos Spegazzini ) is an Argentine football player. He stands for Winter 2012 the Brazilian club SC Internacional under contract.

Career

In the club

The attacking midfielder started his career at Cañuelas in the fourth highest Argentine league. In 2002 he moved to CA Banfield in the Primera División. On 29 August 2004, he debuted in the top Argentine league in the away game against Arsenal de Sarandi, which ended goalless. There he developed within a few years become one of the most significant contributors to the team. In the summer of 2006 Dátolo changed for a million euros to the Argentine top club Boca Juniors. The midfielder was Torneo Apertura since 2007 root formation of Boca Juniors. He won the Copa Libertadores with Boca Torneo Apertura 2007 and in 2008.

On 31 January, the Italian club Napoli tradition acquired him for a transfer fee of more than five million euros. He signed a five-year fixed-term contract with the southerners. He made his debut in Serie A on 14 February 2009 in the match against FC Bologna. He scored his first Serie A goal on 31 October 2009 in the match against Juventus to 2-2 hits ( Full 3-2 for Napoli). It was the first away victory of Napoli to Juventus for 21 years.

Was announced on 16 January 2010 that Dátolo is awarded to the end of the season to the Greek club Olympiakos Piraeus. The Greeks also had an option to purchase the midfielder.

Dátolo completed until the end of season seven matches in the top Greek league and could not be recommended for a firm commitment. After the club was not aware of the option to purchase, Dátolo a part of a lending agreement, and then the Spanish side Espanyol was parked for one season again. The association was also promised a possibility of permanent obligation of the midfielder. This purchase option was ultimately perceived, but after Dátolo completed only five league games, he was sold to the SC Internacional in the winter of 2012.

In the National Team

On 22 July 2009 Jesús Dátolo was appointed for the first time in the Argentine national team for the friendly match against Russia. 36 seconds after coming off the bench, he scored his first goal for the national team. On 5 September 2009 at the World Cup qualifier against Brazil Dátolo scored from a distance the first goal for the Albiceleste.

He was nominated by coach Diego Maradona in the provisional squad for the finals at the World Cup in 2010, but not included in the final Argentine squad.
