JetLite, formerly Air Sahara, was an Indian airline based in New Delhi. She was a subsidiary of Jet Airways.

History

The airline was founded on 20 September 1991 as Sahara India Airlines. The flight operations began on 3 December 1993 with two Boeing 737-200. First, especially the north of India was served before the expanded flight operations all over India. On 2 October 2000, the airline was renamed Air Sahara, carried out the first international flight from Chennai to Colombo on 22 March 2004.

In 2006 the airline was acquired by Jet Airways for 350 million U.S. dollars. Jet Airways was the airline company renamed it JetLite position itself as a low cost airline. On March 25, 2012 JetLite, however, was integrated and resolved as part of a restructuring in the sister company, Jet Konnect.

Objectives

JetLite operated mainly in Germany, where all metropolitan areas were interconnected.
