Jiang Yi-huah

Jiang Yi - huah (Chinese江宜桦, Pinyin Jiang Yihua, born November 18, 1960 in Keelung, Republic of China) is a Taiwanese politician of the Kuomintang and since February 18, 2013 Prime Minister of the Republic of China on Taiwan.

Academic career

He received a doctorate in political science at Yale University. He then worked as a researcher at Academia Sinica and from 1995 to 2012 as a professor of political science at the National Taiwan University from 1993 to 1993.

Political career

On 20 May 2008, Jiang was appointed by President Ma Ying- jeou in the review committee for research and development. On 10 September 2009, Jiang was appointed Taiwanese Secretary of the Interior and on 6 February 2012 as Deputy Prime Minister. Since February 18, 2013 he has been Chairman of the Executive Yuan and thus Prime Minister of the Republic of China.
