Jigme Wangchuck

Jigme Wangchuk (of Tib. ' jigs med dbang phyug; * 1905, † March 30, 1952 ) was of 21 August 1926 until his death Druk Gyalpo, the second of Bhutan.

He was the eldest son of King Ugyen Wangchuk. During his tenure, Bhutan almost completely isolated from the rest of the world and entertained only limited relations with Britain. Was succeeded by his son Jigme Dorji Wangchuk.
