Jill Esmond
Jill Esmond ( born January 26, 1908 in London, England as: Jill Esmond Moore, † July 28, 1990 in Wimbledon, London, England) was a British actress.
Life & Career
The daughter of actor H.V. Esmond and Eva Moore gave the actress made her film debut in 1930. A year later, she played the leading role alongside Edmund Gwenn in the Alfred Hitchcock film until the finish. In 1933, she starred opposite Conrad Veidt in FP1 does not respond to. In later years, Esmond was almost exclusively seen in supporting roles. In 1955 she turned her last film, A man named Peter and ended her film career.
Jill Esmond was married from 1930 to 1940 with the actor Laurence Olivier. Their son is the director Tarquin Olivier.
