Jim Denney (ski jumper born 1983)

Ryan James "Jim" Denney ( born July 5, 1983 in Duluth, Minnesota ) is an American former ski jumper.

Career

His international debut Denney in the season 2000/ 01 in Ski Jumping Continental Cup. In his first season, he managed to win three Continental Cup points, ranking 127 overall. In the following season 2001 /02 he was able to increase significantly. From January he reached top 20 rankings on almost all jumping. At the end of the season, he finished with 108 points, 94th in the overall standings.

His most successful season was the Continental Cup season 2002/ 03. He was able to achieve in Ishpeming three top - 10 finishes, including a fifth place in March 2003. Could Surprise Denney on the Zaō -Hill in Yamagata. Denney had to only the Japanese Yusuke Kaneko beaten and stood as the first and the only time in his career on the podium. The season he finished 36th in the overall standings.
