Jim Prentice

Jim Prentice PC ( born July 20, 1956 in South Porcupine, Canada), Minister of Industry of Canada.

Life

Jim Prentice graduated in 1977 from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and studied law at Dalhousie University.

He applied in 2003 to the presidency of the newly formed Conservative Party of Canada, but was not successful. On 28 June 2004 Prentice was first elected to the Canadian Parliament. On 23 January 2006 was his re-election and on 6 February 2006 Prentice was appointed Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development ( Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development ). This he remained until the appointment of the Minister of Industry (Minister of Industry ) on 14 August 2007.

Jim Prentice is married and has three children.
