Jim Sladky

James Sladky is a former American figure skater, who started ice dancing.

His Eistanzpartnerin was Judy Schwomeyer. With her he took in the period 1967-1972 at world championships. 1969, 1971 and 1972 and won Schwomeyer Sladky the bronze medal and in 1970 in Ljubljana, they were runners-up behind Lyudmila and Alexander Gorshkov Pakhomova from the Soviet Union.

Together with their coach Ronald Ludington created Schwomeyer and Sladky the Compulsory Dance Yankee Polka.

After the end of their competitive career Schwomeyer and Sladky switched to the professionals. The ice dance married, settled after 19 years but again divorced.
