Judy Blumberg

Judy Ann Blumberg (* September 13, 1957 in Santa Monica, California ) is a former American figure skater who started in ice dancing.

Your Eistanzpartner was Michael Seibert. Their first World Cup medal won Blumberg and Seibert at the World Championships 1983 in Helsinki with bronze behind the British Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean and Natalya Bestemjanowa and Andrei Bukin from the Soviet Union. The same result was repeated at the World Championships in 1984 in Ottawa. At the World Championships 1985 in Tokyo, the ice dance bronze medal won his third in a row, this time behind Bestemjanowa and Bukin and Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko of the Soviet Union. Blumberg and Seibert participated in two Olympic Games. 1980 in Lake Placid they finished seventh place in 1984 in Sarajevo, they were fourth.

After her competitive career Blumberg worked as Fernsehkommentatorin and motivational speaker. She leads the ensemble of the Ice Theatre of New York and is technical specialist at the ISU.
