1981 World Figure Skating Championships

The World Figure Skating Championships 1981 took place from 3 to 7 March 1981 in Hartford in the U.S. state of Connecticut instead.

The points system was changed. The compulsory program lost in the individual competitions in importance and made ​​her even more than 30 % of score from. The short program was 20% in the standings and the freestyle with 50%. The placement in each category was multiplied by the appropriate factor and the three results were added to the total score.
