Todd Sand

Kenneth Todd Sand ( born October 30, 1963 in Burbank, California) is an American former figure skater, who started in a single run for Denmark and pair skating for the United States.

Life

Sand began as individual runners and went to Denmark, because it has both the U.S. as well as a Danish citizen. He participated in the World Championships in 1981 and 1982, finishing in 19th and 22nd place. At the European Championships in 1982 and 1983, he came Nineteenth.

In the pair of running now starting for the USA Sand began in 1985 on the side of Lori Blasko, but only at the national level, since the couple did not qualify for international competitions. His next figure skating partner in 1989 Natasha Kuchiki. With her he was 1991 U.S. champion in pair skating. Todd Sands pair coach was John Nicks. After his amateur career, the pair ran for six seasons with the ice show "Stars on Ice".

Todd Sand and Jenni Meno have two sons - Jack, born in 2004, and Matthew, born in 2006.

Sand took part in the TV show Dancing on Ice in the UK television ITV. His partner here was Kelly Holmes. Sand is also a technical specialist at the ISU and works as a coach.
