Vivian Joseph

Vivian Joseph ( born March 7, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former American figure skater who started in pair skating.

Along with her older brother Ronald Joseph was 1965 U.S. champion in pair skating. The couple took 1963 to 1965 at the world championships. In 1963, she was eighth in 1964 and fourth in 1965 in Colorado Springs, they won the silver medal behind Lyudmila Belousova and Oleg Protopopov from the Soviet Union. At the Olympic Games 1964 in Innsbruck they missed as Fourth extremely scarce bronze medal, which went to the Canadian Debbi Wilkes and Guy Revell. In 1966, the silver medal winner of this Olympics, Marika Kilius and Hans- Jürgen Baumler, disqualified for signing a professional contract before the Winter Games by the International Olympic Committee. Thereafter the Josephs the bronze medal was awarded. 1987 have been fully rehabilitated and Kilius Baeumler by the IOC.
