David Santee

David Santee ( born July 22, 1957 in Oak Park, Illinois ) is an American former figure skater, who started in a single run.

Santee was eight times on the podium at the National Championships, four times he became an American runner. From 1976 to 1982 he competed at every World Championship and placed himself never worse than eighth. At the Olympics 1976 he was sixth. In 1980, he missed the World Championships as well as at the Olympic Games in fourth place behind compatriot Charles Tickner a medal just barely. The following year he was in Hartford Vice World Champion behind Scott Hamilton and celebrated the greatest success of his career.

His younger brother Jimmy Santee was also figure skater and 1979 Junior Champion of the United States. David Santee is working as an Official at the ISU.
