Jimmy Fallon
James Thomas " Jimmy" Fallon ( born September 19, 1974 in New York City ) is an American comedian, presenter and actor. On April 3, 2013 it was announced that NBC Jay Leno is replaced as host of the Tonight Show in 2014 by Fallon.
Private
Fallon was born the son of James Fallon Sr. and Gloria Fallon in Sunset Park ( Brooklyn ). After graduating from high school in Saugerties ( Ulster County) Fallon attended the College of Saint Rose. Jimmy Fallon is married to Nancy Juvonen with the producer since 22 December 2007. In July 2013 their first child was born.
Career
After graduating from college, Fallon was a stand-up comedian and has performed in clubs like the Improv and Caroline 's Comedy Club. In 1998 he was discovered for the TV show Saturday Night Live. There Fallon belonged until 2004 to the ensemble. After leaving SNL, he devoted himself to acting and in 2000 was the first time in Almost Famous - Almost Famous to see on the screen. He was nominated in the category of Best Comedy Album Grammy in 2002.
In the years 2001, 2002 and 2005, he hosted the MTV Video Music Awards. Since 2009, Fallon presented on the NBC Late Night show, which he has borrowed from Conan O'Brien.
On 23 May 2011 he published the book Thank You Notes by writing down little notes known from his late night show. In them " thanks " it with irony and sarcasm in different people ( and objects ) and takes current events or everyday on the grain.
On February 17, 2014 Jimmy Fallon hosted his first Tonight Show and was celebrated by the American media for it. It is the first time in 40 years that the Tonight Show is re-recorded in New York City.
