Jimmy Gardner (actor)

Jimmy Gardner (actually Edward Charles James Gardner, born August 24, 1924 in Newmarket, Suffolk; † 3, 2010 in London ) was an English actor.

Life

Gardner, son of jockey Terry Gardner, as a teenager fled from home, hired as a sailor, survived two shipwrecks, served in the Royal Air Force as a pilot and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Medal. Mid-1950s, he turned to acting and turned his first film in 1964. As a result, he was also on television and on the stage - to see - especially in Shakespearean roles. A later peak of his career was a role in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
