Jimmy McRae

Jimmy McRae ( born October 28, 1943 in Lanark, Scotland ) is a British rally driver and the father of Alister and Colin McRae.

McRae won the British Rally Championship five times ( 1981, 1982, 1984, 1987 and 1988), finished second in the European Rally Championship in 1982 and 2nd place as best result in the World Rally Championship, the 15th place in the season 1983. He joined 1978-1989 to a total of 20 WRC rallies and secured itself an 56 points and two podiums.

Today, McRae has largely retired from active motorsport, but occurs sporadically in classic car rallies and in the Scottish Rally Championship.
