Jimmy Thackery

Jimmy Thackery ( born May 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American blues singer, guitarist and composer. Stylistically, he is the Electric Blues and Blues Rock assign.

With its tough, no-frills guitar playing and his direct, undisguised behavior at stage shows he won a cult following in both the followers of the straight blues, as well as the fans of the Roots Rock. From the early 1970s until the late 1980s, Jimmy Thackery band member and lead guitarist of the Nighthawks, a blues band from Washington, DC With the Nighthawks, he played a good dozen albums before he launched a solo career in the late 1980s. During this career, he first formed the band Jimmy Thackery & the Assassins, from 1991, the trio Jimmy Thackery & the Drivers.
