Jinci Temple

Jinci (Ch晋祠) is a temple complex in Taiyuan in Shanxi province from the time of the Song Dynasty. Your core is the ancestral temple of the Prince Shu Yu.

The temple stands since 1961 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 1-85 ).

History

The Jinci temple has a long history dating back to the Western Zhou Dynasty ( 11th century BC to 711 BC ) can be traced back, when King Cheng his younger brother Yu gave one of his States. Yu was an intelligent leader and made many contributions to the State, built his descendants after his death, a temple for him to honor his performance.
