Jiří Ondra

Jiří Ondra ( born June 7, 1957 in Uherské Hradiště ) is a former Czech football player.

Career

Jiří Ondra played in his youth for Slovácká Slavia Uherské Hradiště, 1978, he moved to FC Bohemians Prague, even though he had already signed a contract with Sparta Prague. When Bohemians to Ondra immediately earned a starting berth, 1982/83 he was one of the most important performers of the champion team.

After 213 league games and 19 goals the tall left-back joined the First Vienna FC in the Austrian Bundesliga, where in 1991 he finished his professional career.

He played until 1993 nor for the Austrian third division ASV Hohenau and then even in the lower leagues in the Czech Republic.

From 1999 to 2001 he coached Sokol Libiš with which he ascended into the fourth Czech league.

National

In the Czechoslovak national Ondra completed 20 games. He made his debut on October 6, 1982 game against Sweden, which ended 2-2. His last game he made on May 13, 1987, the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic lost in Brandenburg against the GDR with 0:2.
