Jiske Griffioen

Jiske Griffioen ( born April 17, 1985 in Woerden ) is a Dutch wheelchair tennis player. She was born with spina bifida and has lived since early childhood with a disability. Prior to her sporting career in wheelchair tennis, she was already 14 years old member of the Dutch national team in wheelchair basketball at the Summer Paralympics in Sydney 2000.

Since 2001, it operates exclusively wheelchair tennis as a competitive sport. In 2003, she played her first international tournament. Jiske Griffioen is currently (as of 4/2013 ), the No.3 in the world rankings of women in wheelchair tennis. Together with Esther Vergeer won the silver medal in doubles tennis at the Summer Paralympics in Beijing in 2008.
