Joachim Baldauf

Joachim Baldauf ( born July 20 1965 in Weiler im Allgäu ) is a German photographer and publisher. He now lives in Berlin.

Biography

Joachim Baldauf graduated from in 1984 at the Technical School Reutlingen studies in textile design, from which he graduated in 1987 with a diploma. Following arisen textile designs for Holzhauser textile design, Rueff Muntlix, Stragapede DIDRA and others.

From 1989 to 1998 Baldauf was as a graphic designer and art director for magazines and clients like Adidas, Bertelsmann Music Group, Cosmopolitan, Doc Martens, Helmut Lang / Sucrow Barthel, Levi's, MAC and other busy.

In 1992 he founded together with Gabriele Grammelknödel Berger and Dieter Brachtl the agency boom Communication in Munich, which published magazines like night owls and washbasin.

Since 1998 Joachim Baldauf works as a freelance photographer for numerous international magazines and photographed various advertising campaigns.

Baldauf support with his work charities such as Doctors Without Borders, the Altona Museum, German Red Cross, unreported eV, International Children's Camp Sans Souci, per organ.

From 1999 to 2002, he maintained a close cooperation with the London magazine Wallpaper *, for which he was responsible for about 30 editorials and covers.

In 2004, Baldauf, together with the graphic designer Agnes Feckl the Print Culture Publishing House, where the front magazine and various books are published.

Since 2009 he has been a lecturer and speaker at various universities and colleges like Academy of Fine Arts, Maastricht; Fachhochschule Dortmund; Fefè Projects, Rome; University of the Arts, Bremen; University of Technology and Economics, Berlin; Merz Akademie, Stuttgart; University of the Arts, Berlin operates.
